AGED RESIDENT CALLED BY MAKER

C. E. Belknap, 82, a resident of this section for over thirty years, passed on at the family home on North Sixth street, following a long illness.

Clayton Edward Belknap was born in Iowa, Feb. (?), 1862. He was married to Mrs. Cornelia Warren, at Portland, Ore., June 18, 1891 and lived in Astoria until 1908 when they came to Payette and lived on the Payette Oregon Slope for thirty years. Mr. Belknap suffered a stroke about two years ago and was unable to work, and moved to Weiser then back to Payette where they lived for the past one and one half years. He leaves his wife, son Robert and a daughter, Mrs. George Windle, all of Payette and a son Charles of Klamath Falls, Ore. A daughter, Mrs. Francis Lowe preceded him in death. There are also nine grandchildren, give great-grandchildren, two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Cecil Porter, Mrs. Jess Timmons, Oran, Will and C. F. Belknap, all of Chenoots, Wash. Services were held at the Pentacostal church at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with Rev. Horace Snyder officiating. Burial was at the Rosedale Memorial Park with Landons in charge.
