Services for Ernest Charlie Campbell, 74, Payette, who died Sunday in an Ontario hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Payette Chapel of the Roses by Rev. Jack Anderson, pastor of the First Baptist church of Payette. Interment will be at Rosedale in Payette.

Mr. Campbell was born March 23, 1896, in Clinton, Mo. He was a veteran of World War 1, and served in the U. S. Army. He was a member of the Baptist church in Missouri, a member of the Veterans of World War 1, Post 338, Payette, a member of Masonic Lodge No. 341, AF and AM of Parker, Kan. He had lived in Payette for 14 years, coming here from Midwest, Wyo. He was married to Marilla Martin on December 19, 1920, in Lone Elm, Kan.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marilla Campbell, Payette; a son, George W. Campbell, Little River, Kan.; three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Rozena) Smitheran, Garnet, Kan., Mrs. Ray (Ernestine) Smitheran of Fork Union, Va., and Mrs. Roger (Unice) Bearsterfield, Idaho Falls; a sister, Mrs. Walker (Vina) Fox, Ontario; a brother, Orville Campbell of Lakeside, Calif.; and 11 grandchildren.
