James "Ellison" Garner

James "Ellison" Garner, 89, Ontario, died Wednesday Jan. 29, 2003, in Baker City, Ore. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Monday Feb. 3, 2003 at Haren-Wood funeral Chapel, Ontario. Vault interment will follow in Rosedale Memorial Gardens, Payette. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday Feb. 3, 2003, at the chapel.
James was born June 14, 1913, in Fairfax, Mo., the son of Albert and Cordia Spencer Garner. He was educated in Stanberry, Mo., and came to Ontario in 1932. He married Fay Pearson Aug 22, 1936, in Payette. She preceded him in death in 2000. They made their home in Ontario. He was a partner in the Ontario Grain Co. for 32 years. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and loved hunting and fishing.
He is survived by two sons and their wives, Eugene and Louann Garner, Springfield, and Max and Melissa garner, Haines; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters; and a brother.
He was preceded in death by his nine brothers and sisters.
