Mary Grimes Passes At Pendleton, Oregon
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Grimes 89, Payette passed away in a Pendleton, Ore. hospital, January 27, following a long illness. She was born at King, Penn.
December 10, 1866 and came to the Payette area in 1931 from Loma, Colo. Her husband, Jacob Grimes, preceded her passing in 1924. She was a
member of The Church of the Brethren, Payette.
Survivors are three sons, Robert Grimes of Payette; Carl Grimes of Cedar Creek, Colo. and Paul Grimes of Sacramento, Calif. Two daughters, Mrs.
Sarah Ahrens of Keensburg, Colo. and Mrs. Millie Rumley of Payette; one sister, Mrs. Susan Brumbaugh of Martinsburg, Penn. Fifteen grandchildren
and twenty-seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Church of The Brethren in Payette with Rev. E. J. Clover and Rev. Arthur Durr officiating.
Interment followed at Rosedale Memorial Park under the direction of Shaffer Memory Chapel.
