PAYETTE - Services for Elmer F. Kassahn, 69, Payette, who died Thursday at home, were conducted Monday at the Chapel of the Roses, Payette, by Kent W. Gist. Interment was in Rosedale Memorial Gardens, Payette.
He was born Nov. 13, 1906, in Crawford, Neb. He married Mary Reese Nov. 1, 1930, in Walnut Park, Calif. They lived in Payette for four years after moving from Canoga Park, Calif. He was a retired electronics worker.
He was an avid rock hound.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner.
Surviving are his wife of Payette, two sons, Chester Mateer, Emmett and Ervin Mateer, Riverside, Calif.; two brothers Edward Crawford and Jess, Grants Pass, Ore.; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Duson?, Bend, Ore., Mrs. Ann Montagnon, Los Vegas, and Mrs. Ray (Pearl) Shuey, Twenty-Nine Palms, Calif., and a grandchild.
