Private family services were held for William Marnella, 104, Payette, who died Tuesday, Sept 17 in a Pocatello nursing home. Interment was at Rosedale Memorial Gardens, Payette.
He was born June 1, 1881, in Austria. He came to the United States when he was 12 years old, living in the Caldwell and Indian Valley, Idaho areas. He became a United States citizen when he was a young man. He joined the Masonic Malta Lodge No 17 at the age of 52 and two years ago he received his 50 year pin for the Portneuf Mason Lodge No 18. He was a miner and had been a farmer. He was married to Ellen Bell who died in 1973.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Annia Marnella of Carson City, Nev., a grandson Larry Marnella of Canby, Ore. and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Lloyd.
