Betty Louise Pape, 72, of Payette, entered into rest Friday, May 30, 2008, at her home in Payette. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at the Church of the Nazarene, 1131 Alameda Dr., Ontario, Oregon, with Pastor Tim Brewer officiating. Burial followed at Rosedale Memorial Gardens, Payette. Services and arrangements were under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Betty was born January 11, 1936, in Perry, Oklahoma, to James and Mildred Jarvis. She was the second oldest of five children. The family all moved to Eureka, Kansas, where Betty met and married Paul R. Pape on January 25, 1953. After they married, they ranched in Kansas with Paul's father, Edward Pape, until moving to Idaho with their two sons, Randy and Don, July 5, 1956. After moving to Idaho, Betty had her third child, Karen. She began a career working for Ore-Ida/RJ Heinz, retiring after 32 years. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, loved being in the outdoors, and traveling with her husband.

Betty was preceded in death by her father, James Jarvis and her mother, Mildred Jarvis.

Betty is survived by her husband, Paul Pape, of Payette; her sisters, Nelda Pape, of Kennewick, Washington and Mary Van De Bogart, of Payette; her brothers, Jim Jarvis of Kimberly, Idaho and John Jarvis, Oregon; her children Randy Pape and his wife Sabine of Payette, Don Pape and his wife Lynda of Vancouver, Washington, and Karen Sands and her husband Jeff of Payette; seven grandchildren Jacob Pape, Jeremiah Pape, Kathleen Stauff, Stephanie Morgan, Valerie Allen, Scott Pape, and Stewart Sands; and nine great-grandchildren Chandlor and Patrick Stauff, Delia Pape, Zack, Zane, Zander, and Zoe Allen, Taylor and Rian Morgan.
