JOSEPH D. "J.D." PATTON

PAYETTE - Services for Joseph D. "J.D." Patton, 75, Payette, who died Sunday in a Boise hospital, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Shaffer-Jensen Chapel, Payette, by the Rev. Patrick Phelan of Holy Family Catholic Church, Payette. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, Payette.

He was born March 30, 1905, in Elsberry, Mo., where he was reared and educated. He worked as a chef in Evanston, Ill. He married Marie E. "Nancy" Copeland in June 1935. He managed the Aloha Supper Club in Evanston, in 1941. In 1942, they moved to Payette, where they owned and operated Patton's Grill and the Green Acres Restaurant. They moved to Columbus, Ohio, in 1963. They returned to Payette in 1969 and moved to the Oregon Slope area in 1970.

Survivors include a son, Michael of Salt Lake City; two brothers, Cecil and Reavis, both of Elsberry; and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his wife, two sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call at Shaffer-Jensen Chapel, Payette, today from 3 to 6 p.m.
