Final Rites Held For Lewis S. Shepler, 55

Services were conducted Monday for Lewis Erwin Shelper, 55, of Payette who died in an Ontario hospital late Thursday following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Shepler was born Sept. 12, 1905 at Glden City, Mo., and was married to Helen Ethell at Bellingham, Wash., on November 24, 1933. They came to Payette from VanCouver, Wash., in 1948. Mr. Shepler was a maintenance supervisor for the Payette schools for many years.

He was a member of the Baptist church.

In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Carol McNutt, Mrs. Wanda Collingwood, and Mrs. Venita Ryan, all of Payette; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Shepler of Kelso, Wash.; two brothers, Myron Shepler, Arcadia, Calif., and Porter Shepler, Kelso; two sisters, Mrs. Dale Skinner of Boise and Mrs. Arthur Baker of Kelso, and eight grandchildren.

Services were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist church in Payette with the Rev. William Clark officiating. Interment was at Rosedale.
