PAYETTE - Marie Theresa Thiel, 96, Mountain Home formerly of the Oregon Slope area near Payette died Sept 21, 1995. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. at Rosedale Memorial Gardens, Payette, under the direction of Haren-Wood Chapel of the Roses, Payette.
She was born July 17, 1899 in Dixie, Idaho. She married Clarence N. Thiel, Feb. 22, 1923, in Payette. He preceded her in death in 1976. Marie was a homemaker and enjoyed flowers, canning and crocheting.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Lillie and Donald Preuss of Homedale; a son-in-law, Clyde Schmelzer of Mountain Home; a sister, Goldie Barnes of Huntington, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Schmelzer.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
