PAYETTE - Graveside services for Della Lee Wheat, 91, Payette, who died Sunday in a Payette nursing home were conducted Tuesday in Rosedale Memorial Gardens, Payette by the Rev. Joel Thith, Christian Church, under the direction of the Payette Chapel of the Roses.

She was born Aug. 14, 1888, at Shautauqua Spring, Kan., to Issac and Sarah Imel. She lived at Payette for 48 years after moving from Wyoming. She married Pat Wheat on Oct. 24, 1906, at Culdesac. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and had been a county registrar for 16 years. Her husband died in 1969.

Surviving are two sons, Ivan Wheat of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Art Wheat of Payette; a sister, Hazel Calder of Ponca City, Okla.; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sons and a daughter.

Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund or to Mountain States Tumor Institute.
