Services for Cecil E. Davis, Sr., 78, New Plymouth, a retired farmer, who died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 1985, in an Ontario hospital, were conducted Tuesday in the Assembly of God Church, New Plymouth, with the Rev. Herb Christensen of the Assembly of God Church, Payette officiating. Interment followed in Parkview Cemetery, New Plymouth, under direction of Ontario Lienkaemper Chapel.

Mr. Davis was born July 25, 1907, in Waubay, S. D., the son of Zopher and Ellen Davis. He was raised and educated in South Dakota, where he farmed with his family. He came to Oregon as a young man. He married Mary Mullen on Dec. 3, 1945 in the state of Washinton. After a time, he and his wife came to the Fruitland, New Plymouth area, where they made their home. Mr. Davis worked as a farmer for most of his life.

Survivors include his wife, Mary, and a son, Cecil Davis, Jr., both of New Plymouth; a daughter, Carol Sherbert of Nampa, Idaho; two sisters, Ruby Mohs, of Orange, N.J., and Shirley Krueger of Bath, S.D., and two grandchildren.
