W. Rogers Livingston, 87, Fruitland, passed away, June 4, 2003 at his home after a long illness. Memorial services were Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Funeral services were under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette.

Rogers was born June 15, 1915 at Louisburg, Kan., he was the middle child of Frank and Florence Livingston.

He married Marion Castellaw April 1, 1939 at Fruitland. He had a long career with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, retiring in 1977.

He is survived by his wife, Marion of Fruitland; daughter, Darlene Buthman and her husband Paul of Payette; son-in-law, John Rilee of Williamsburg, Va.; grandson, Tony Buthman and his wife, Tami; grandson, Byron Buthman and his wife Gwen; granddaughter, Kim Demnicki and her husband, Robert; grandson, Steven Rilee and his wife, Nancy; and six great-grandchildren.

His parents, his daughter, Judy Rilee, his brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
