NEW PLYMOUTH - Services for Elmer Hiram Madson, 74, Route 2, New Plymouth, will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Interment will be at Hillcrest. He was spending the winter in Los Angeles and suffered a stroke a month ago and died Monday, Jan. 24.

Mr. Madsen was born in Lincoln, Neb. March 11, 1898 and was reared in Nebraska where he married Lena Kyriss. They farmed until they moved to Los Angeles in the thirties. They moved in retirement to New Plymouth in 1966.

Surviving in addition to Mrs. Madsen are a son, Melvin, of New Plymouth; a daughter Mrs. Lee Wright Jr. of Payette and Scottsdale, Ariz; two sisters in Los Angeles, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sophus Madsen and brother Ralph.

Note: He is buried at Parkview, New Plymouth. Obit states something different. ch
