Man Found Dead In Cabin

John A. Martin, 62, was found dead evidently from heart failure in his cabin at the rear of the Lone Tree Inn gas station near the railroad overpass on Highway 52 Wednesday morning by Albert Coates proprietor of the station.

Coates called Coroner Gifford Shaffer who with Deputy Sheriff Floyd Sallee drove to the cabin and took charge of the remains. Shaffer reported that Martin had evidently died the preceding night.

Little is known about Martin except that he was born at Fairland, Oklahoma, Feb. 10, 1884 and that he came to this area in 1935.

Shaffer said Thursday morning that he was trying to contact relatives of the deceased in Oklahoma.
