Services To Be Held For Susan B. Mason

Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Shaffer Memory Chapel in New Plymouth for Mrs. Susan Baxter Mason, 99, of New Plymouth, one of the oldest residents of this area. She died Tuesday evening at her home. The Rev. Robert Allen will officiate and interment will be at Park View in New Plymouth.

Mrs. Mason was born January 28, 1859, at Peotone, Ill. She came to New Plymouth in 1896 from Idana, Kans., and was a school superintendent for a number of years. Her husband Joseph Mason died May 13, 1933.

She was a member of the Congregational church.

She is survived by one son, Howard Mason, Calcutta, India; four daughters, Daisy D. Mason, of New Plymouth, Mrs. Lucy Thompson of Spokane, Mrs. Margaret Edwards of New Plymouth, and Mrs. Bernice Baker of Boise; one brother Joseph Baxter and one sister, Mrs. Hattie Harrison, both of Clay Center, Kans.; eight grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
