Bill Meechan's Brother Buried At New Plymouth
Services were held Wednesday morning from St. Aloysius Catholic church at New Plymouth for Robert J. Meechan who died Sunday at the Veteran's hospital at Boise. Rosary was said at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Landon funeral home by Ray Gallehine, pastor of St. Aloysius church. Burial was in Park View cemetery, New Plymouth.
Robert J. Meechan was born Nov. 25, 1888 at Spaulding, Nebraska, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles T. Meechan. Besides his wife Katharine he leaves three children, Bob, Jim and Carroll Rae of Echo, Oregon, his mother, Mrs. Sarah Ann Meechan of New Plymouth; seven brothers, Thomas of Spokane, James of Portland, Frank of San Francisco, Charles of Puyallup, Emmett of McCall, Lewis of New Plymouth and Bill of Payette; also five sisters, Mrs. E. B. Snow of Council, Mrs. John Walker of Olympia, Mrs. Frank Driscoll of New Plymouth, Miss Viola Meechan of Payette and Mrs. Katherine Bag??? of San Francisco.
