Services for Vivian D. Root, 74, of Ontario, who died Monday, Nov. 19, 1984, at an Ontario hospital of natural causes, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, with Rev. Thomas Young of the Bethany Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow at Park View Cemetery, New Plymouth.
She was born April 21, 1910, at Willow County, N. D., the daughter of Lynch and Bettie Duncan. She came to Idaho in 1923 from Willow County, and settled in New Plymouth. She attended school in Payette before moving to the Nyssa-Adrian area in 1969.
Survivors include tow daughters, Claudine Anderson of Ontario and Karen Cramer of Chehalis, Wash.; a brother, Tom Duncan of Modesto, Calif.; a sister, Evelyn Frazier of Blackfoot, Idaho; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and four brothers.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Foundation or the Mountain States Tumor Institute in care of the chapel.
