Rites To Be Held For Mrs. Carstens
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Carstens, 80, long resident of this city who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. T. Hanigan, Wednesday, will be held Saturday morning at 10 o’clock.
The place for the services had not been decided upon at press time according to an announcement from the Landon-Shaffer Funeral Home which will have charge.
Mrs. Carstens was born Oct. 9, 1867, at Island of Fehman, Germany, and came to the U. S. in 1883. She was married July 15, 1886 at Pierce, Nebr. to Henry Carstens, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are five sons, William N. and Herman H. Carstens, both of Boise, Henry T. of Roseburg, Ore., August D. of Colfax, Wn., and Edward A. Carstens of Payette; three daughters, Mrs. Emma Ferber of Woodland, Wn., Mrs. Frank Browning of Boise and Mrs. Hanigan, and 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild. One child also preceded Mrs. Carstens in death.
