Services ere conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Payette Chapel of the Roses for Mrs. Rose Drinkwine, 83, who died at her home in Payette on Saturday. The Rev. J. Emery Burnett, pastor of the Four Square Gospel church of Baker, Ore. officiated. Interment was at Riverside.
Born April 3, 1885 in Mentor, Minn., she had lived the past 60 years in Payette, coming here from Mentor.
She was a member of the Four Square gospel church of Payette and the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxillary.
She is survived by three sons, Earl Drinkwine, Stockton, Calif., Larry and Alton Drinkwine, both of Long Beach, Calif.; three brothers, Harry Toupin of Burley, and Matt and John Toupin, both of Buhl; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Orr, Utah, and Aldia Anderson, Portland; 10 grandchildren including Mrs. Margaret Cornman of Payette and Sp 4 Ben Drinkwine, serving with the U.S. Army in Germany; and many great grandchildren. A son, Clifford H. Drinkwine, preceded her in death.
