Aged Man Dies
Charles Himler died at his home in Fruitland Tuesday morning, June 13, at 5:30, aged 86 years and 8 months. Mr. Himler was born in Erford, Prussia, Germany, October 4, 1835. He attended the love feast at the Brethren church Friday night and took sick Saturday morning. At his bedside was his wife, Katherine Garver Himler, his son, Joe C. Himler, of Kimberly, who arrived Monday morning; his daughter, Mrs. Ariena Pounds, of Homedale, and a granddaughter, Mrs. Nellie McGorden, of Oregon Slope. Others who survive are a son, Bert Himler, who lives in Porterville, California, and a daughter, Mrs. Jane Redding, who lives at Alliance, Nebraska. The funeral services were held in the Fruitland Brethren church Friday afternoon at 2:30, interment taking place in Riverside cemetery, Payette.
