William D. Johnson Dies Here Sunday
William Daniel Johnson, 63, passed away at the local Carter's Home for the Aged Sunday, July 12.
He was born February 17, 1890 in Carter County, Ky. He first came west from Kentucky settling in California in 1926 and came to Idaho 10 years later settling in the Payette community in 1946.
Surviving are five sons; William D., Oregon Slope community, Wilburn D., Cline, Lonnie, Paul, all of Payette; eight daughters, Mrs. Crummett, Miss Mildred Johnson and Mrs. Violet Barnes, all of Payette, Mrs. Stella Ivey, Portland, Ore., Mrs. Mary Ella Thurman, Miss Shirley Johnson, Miss Velva Johnson, Mesa, Arizona, Miss Olive Johnson, Phoenix, Arizona; three sisters, three brothers and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held this morning at 10 a.m. at the Nazarene church, Payette. Burial was in the Riverside cemetery under the direction of the Shaffer memory chapel.
