Rites Held For Mary E. Toothman
PAYETTE - Services for Mary Elsie Toothman, of Fruitland were held this morning (Thursday) at the Shaffer Memory Chapel in Payette. Mrs. Toothman passed away in her Fruitland home Monday, June 6.
She was born in Ohiowa, Nebr. July 2, 1892, and was married to Oscar Toothman in Crete, Nebr., in 1923. The couple came to Fruitland from Casper, Wyo., 11 years ago.
Mrs. Toothman was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the United Brethren Church and was a 4-H leader.
She is survived by her husband Oscar Toothman of Fruitland; five daughters, Mrs. Betsy Daws of New Plymouth, Mrs. Mary Sparkman of Stanfield, Oregon, Mrs. Jean Senkbeil of Coleton, Ore., Mrs. Leona Martin of the Canal Zone and Miss Margaret Toothman of Fruitland, a brother, Dr. Edgar Medlar of Ithica, N. Y., and eight grandchildren.
