PAYETTE - Mabel Viola King DeShazer, 88, Payette, died July 23, 1991 at home. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church, Payette. The Rev. Carl Pershall will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Memorial Gardens, Payette, under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette.
She was born April 29, 1903 at Shaw, Kan., a daughter of William and Dora King. She was reared and educated in Kansas. She married Roy E. DeShazer, June 11, 1919 at Huron, S.D. They moved to Nebraska in 1923 where he farmed. In 1937, they moved to Payette. Mr. DeShazer died January of 1971. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Payette.
Survivors include two sons, Lester W. of Payette and Vern E. of McMinnville; three daughters, Mrs. Harold (Mildred) Smith of Coos Bay, Mrs. Robert (Roberta) Price of Wenatchee, Wash. and Mrs. Howard (Maxine) Sams of Eastside, Ore.; two sisters, Susie Neely of Yucaipa, Calif. and Pearle Meijhen of Nova Scotia, Canada; 23 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by three sons, one daughter, two grandsons, two brothers and five sisters.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, Payette, in care of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O. Box 730, Payette 83661.
