Henry Schlottman Dies At Home Here
Henry Chris Schlottman, 84, died at his Payette home Friday, May 23 following a short illness. He was well known in the community having made his home here for the past 22 years.
Funeral services were held Sunday at the St. John Evangelical church in Payette the Rev. Albert Beutenmueller officiating. Interment was at Rosedale Memorial park and arrangements were under the direction of the Landon Funeral home.
Henry Chris Schlottman was born on July 27, 1857 at Green Garden, Ill. On February 15, 1880 he was married to Sophia Buckholtz. They made their home in Illinois for a number of years moving to Brogan, Oregon where they lived until March 6, 1919 when they moved to Payette.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons. Alfred Schlottman of Fruitland and Allen Schlottman of Portland and by six daughters. Mrs. Henry Beeker of Madiso,. S.D ; Mrs. Lawrence Johnson of Medford, Oregon ; Mrs. Walter Tschirgi of Big Sandy, Montana ; Mrs. Earl Richardson of Parshall, N.D. ; Miss Laura Schlottman of Payette, and Mrs. F. S. Woodward of Payette.
